About the author

Helen Sword is a scholar, poet, and teacher who has published widely on modernist literature, higher education pedagogy, digital poetics, and academic writing. She currently teaches at the University of Auckland, where she was co-recipient of the 2007 Teaching Excellence Award for Innovation in Teaching.  A passionate advocate of stylish academic writing across the disciplines, she has facilitated writing workshops and seminars for faculty and students at universities in Australia, New Zealand, Europe, North America, and Africa. Her newest book, Stylish Academic Writing, is forthcoming from Harvard University Press in 2012.
